Welcome to Kristu Jayanti Institute of Management

Kristu Jayanti (Deemed to be University) has been a beacon of learning and innovation since its inception in 1999 as an affiliated institution under Bangalore University. The Institution is managed by the Christian Missionaries belonging to the order of the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI), St. Joseph Province, Kottayam, Kerala. Marking a significant milestone in its journey, Kristu Jayanti attained the ‘autonomous’ status in the year 2013. As per the notification dated July 08, 2025, vide letter No. 9-13/2025 - U.3(A), Kristu Jayanti has been conferred the status of Deemed to be University under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, by the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India under General Category.

Kristu Jayanti Institute of Management offers three programmes namely Master of Business Administration, MBA (Fintech) and MBA (International Business) with an annual intake of 360 students.

What are the different MBA programmes offered by KJIM?

KJIM offers 3 programmes currently, MBA, MBA (Fintech), MBA (International Business).

What specializations are offered in the MBA programme?

MBA programme consists of 6 elective specializations namely, Finance, Human Resource Management, Marketing and Supply Chain Management, Business Intelligence and Analytics, International Finance and Strategic Finance.

Is MBA from KJIM approved by AICTE?

Yes. The programmes offered by KJIM are approved by AICTE.

What is the admission process at KJIM?

The entire admission process at KJIM is conducted online and is 100% transparent. There are no intermediaries involved. Candidates are required to apply directly through the official KJIM website by paying the prescribed application fee. After completing and submitting the online application, the Admissions Office will scrutinize the application. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria prescribed by the University will be invited to participate in the virtual interview process. The virtual interview process comprises a case study presentation followed by a personal interview. Admission decisions will be communicated to the selected candidates in due course.

Does KJIM accept national-level entrance test scores?

KJIM accepts national-level entrance test scores of CAT, MAT and CMAT.

Does the curriculum include industry-oriented learning?

The curriculum of the MBA programmes at KJIM is revised and updated once every two years in consultation with various stakeholders, including industry experts, alumni, and academicians. In addition to the curriculum, students also undergo industry-recognized certification programmes offered by reputed institutions such as ACCA (UK), the Institute of Analytics (UK), and Six Sigma Green Belt certification conducted by organizations such as KPMG or Grant Thornton.

Is there academic and career mentoring support?

Each group of 15 students is assigned a faculty mentor. Faculty mentors provide both academic guidance and career mentoring to students. Career counselling sessions are conducted by the Placement Wing, namely the Centre for Employability and Corporate Relations. Career development workshops led by alumni experts are conducted annually.

Are industry professionals involved in teaching?

Yes. Industry professionals are regularly involved in teaching at KJIM. Industry experts serve as Professors of Practice for various courses, and senior-level executives also engage with MBA students as faculty. In addition to regular classroom teaching, expert lecture sessions are conducted periodically for students. Furthermore, two hours are dedicated to industry interaction every Saturday as part of the academic timetable.
