Placement Training and Orientations

GATE:
The Centre starts the Placement Orientation and Training Program by Inaugurating the GATE - Opening a passage The Placement Orientation and Training Programs are attuned to the needs of the industry in the era of globalization, the ever-growing challenges and the complexities of business. GATE will make the students highly committed & dedicated and prepares them to meet the challenges in the Corporate World. The Placement Orientation and Training program of the Centre for Employability & Corporate Relations, for the young talents, is a continuous process which helps them get exposed to the industry practices and opens a passage to the Corporate World. GATE prepares the students for the final placements. The Cell serves as a launch pad to students for them to make the critical leap from academic to corporate world. It acts as a nodal point for all placements related activities as well as internships. It helps students to plan their career by providing information and guide them about the companies which approach the College for recruitment.

The Centre for Employability and Corporate Relations (CECR) have a process and set guidelines to make students more serious about the Final Placement Initiatives. Every student looking for final placements has to submit a Need Analysis Questionnaire, a copy of their profile and should compulsorily appear & clear the Aptitude Test paper of CECR to make them eligible for Final Placements.

Attitudinal workshops:
At Kristu Jayanti Institute of Management (KJIM), preparation for campus placements begins with shaping the right attitude and mindset among students, recognizing that long-term career success is built on strong personal values and professional outlook. Before focusing on functional and domain-specific training, KJIM emphasizes self-awareness, positive thinking, resilience, adaptability, and a growth mindset. Through structured mentoring, leadership interactions, experiential learning, and continuous feedback, students are encouraged to develop confidence, integrity, and a solution-oriented approach. This strong foundation enables students to absorb technical knowledge more effectively, perform confidently during recruitment processes, and transition seamlessly into professional roles.

Sixty hours of Aptitude Training: Recognizing that aptitude assessments form the first round of most campus recruitment processes, Kristu Jayanti Institute of Management (KJIM) offers an intensive 60-hour Aptitude Training programme to prepare students comprehensively. The training focuses on building strong fundamentals in quantitative ability, logical reasoning, verbal ability, and data interpretation, supported by regular practice sessions, mock tests, and performance analysis. Designed to enhance speed, accuracy, and problem-solving confidence, the programme equips students with the analytical skills required to successfully clear aptitude rounds and progress confidently to subsequent stages of campus placements.

Resume Building Workshop:
The Resume Building Workshop is designed to help students create professional, impactful, and industry-ready resumes aligned with current recruitment standards. The workshop focuses on structuring resumes effectively, highlighting key skills and achievements, tailoring resumes to specific roles and domains, and avoiding common errors. Through expert guidance, practical exercises, and personalized feedback, students learn how to present their academic background, internships, projects, and competencies confidently, thereby enhancing their visibility and success in campus placement processes.

Communication Workshop: Communication Workshop is designed to strengthen students’ verbal, non-verbal, and professional communication skills essential for academic excellence and career success. The workshop focuses on business communication, presentation skills, group discussions, interview communication, and workplace etiquette through interactive activities, role plays, and real-time feedback. Emphasis is placed on clarity of thought, confidence building, active listening, and professional articulation, enabling students to express ideas effectively and perform confidently during campus placements and in their professional careers.

Orientations: Regular orientation programmes are conducted to guide MBA students in choosing the right career path aligned with their interests, strengths, and industry requirements. These orientations provide insights into diverse career opportunities, current industry trends, and detailed company profiles, helping students make informed career decisions. By emphasizing self-awareness, market readiness, and the right professional mindset, the programmes prepare students to approach their careers with clarity, confidence, and purpose.

Functional knowledge Training:
Functional Knowledge Training forms a core component of student development and is delivered in collaboration with the CECR office. These trainings focus on strengthening students’ understanding of fundamental concepts across key domains such as Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, Business Analytics, Supply Chain Management, and Banking, among others. By reinforcing domain basics through structured sessions and practical insights, the programme ensures that students build a strong conceptual foundation, enabling them to confidently engage in advanced learning, industry interactions, and campus recruitment processes.

Pre placement training programs:
Pre-Placement Training Programmes are conducted to prepare students for real-world recruitment processes. These include mock Group Discussions and mock interviews facilitated by faculty members, alumni, and industry professionals on campus. Through structured simulations, personalized feedback, and expert guidance, students gain clarity on expectations, improve their communication and presentation skills, and build confidence to perform effectively during campus placement drives.

Placement Training Hour: A dedicated Placement Training Hour is integrated into the daily academic schedule to ensure consistent and focused preparation for campus placements. Every day, one hour is exclusively devoted to placement readiness, covering aptitude practice, communication skills, interview preparation, domain awareness, and employability skills. This structured and continuous approach helps students build confidence, improve performance steadily, and remain industry-ready throughout their MBA journey.
