Case Analysis – Pacadi Frame Work

Date: 13 August 2026

Kristu Jayanti Institute of Management (KJIM) conducted the PACADI Case Competition on 13.08.2026 which was an experiential learning initiative designed to provide first year MBA students (2026-28) batch with an opportunity to apply managerial concepts and strategic decision-making skills to a contemporary business challenge. Based on the case “Sell Direct to Consumer or Through Amazon? An E-Bike Maker Weighs the Trade-Offs” by Thales Teixeira, the competition focused on evaluating the strategic trade-offs between Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) and Amazon-based distribution. Through structured case analysis, teamwork, discussions, and presentations, students critically examined aspects such as profitability, customer reach, brand control, customer relationships, and long-term growth. The activity strengthened students’ analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and managerial decision-making capabilities. Overall, the competition provided a valuable platform for bridging classroom learning with real-world business challenges and fostering strategic thinking among future business leaders.
